Seeking Perfection: Bereishit
Journey into the Soul of the Weekly Torah Portion
The Book of Genesis: A 12 Part Journey
The beginning was a divine gift,
a flawless, serene, and luminous world,
a world without misfortune or adversity,
the kind of world we dream of for our children.
The book of Genesis writes the DNA for humanity.
Through it we discover the master plan for our world,
the purpose and meaning behind the chaos,
and what we can do to make the dream a reality.
Every Wed. in the HUB after KMP in room 111

Nonie Darwish
Dec. 03, 2008 - 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
Author of "Now They Call Me Infidel: Why I Renounced
Jihad for America, Israel, and the War on Terror: One
woman’s story of why she left the culture of Islamic
Jihad to support American liberty and tolerance.”
Nonie’s father was killed while leading terrorist raids
against Israel. Her family moved from Gaza back to
Cairo, where they were honored as survivors of a
“shahid”—a martyr for jihad. She grew up learning the
same lessons as millions of Muslim children: to hate
Jews, destroy Israel, oppose America, and submit to
dictatorship. Now she lectures and writes on behalf of
moderate Arabs and Arab-Americans. Extremists have
denounced her as an infidel and threatened her life.
Join us to hear this woman’s story!
